| Jean Marie Vianney | Feb-03-2010 [ Print | E-mail ]
The rainfall average for Rwanda as a whole decreased from 57 to 43 percent. The effects of this reduction are most perceptible in the Eastern and Central Plateaus,
because the rainfall is usually lower in these regions.
Rainfall has continued to decrease at the national level and has been
erratic in the Eastern part of the country.
Agricultural production is to be closely monitored, especially in the
Eastern region.
Food commodity prices decreased by 4 percent at national level in the first fortnight of December in relation
to the first fortnight of November 2009, and by 15 percent in relation to the same period in December 2008.
